Tiiey are Messrs Clark. ; Franke, Hammond, Haruood and Feigh. A social and dance was held : in their honour and to give them a ■ send-off on Monday evening There ; was a fair attendance, ami a plea* ant evening was spent. Tnree seddiers connected with the district. Messrs Knox, McLuehlan and Managh, leave this week with tue Thirteenth Comtiugent, Now that our men are at the I-rench fiont, deep interest will he taken in theii doings, and anxietv felt by their relatives and friends until peace comes and they return home, The cheese factory usually c.oses at the end of May. but this veai owing to the abundance of grass securing a goad supply of milk, operations will be continued into the month of dune. Quantities el the excellent cheese ate being ‘ bought by the Government for, the needs of the men at the iicnt.
