EANGITIKEI COUNTY COUNCIL. - BY-LAWS. NOTICE is hereby given that at a Special Meeting of the Rangitikei County Council held on the 30th day of October, 1915, it was resolved by way of .Special Order that in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in it in that behalf by “ The Counties’ Act, 1908,” “The Public Works Act, 1908,”, “The Motor Regulation Act, 1908,” and every amendment of the said Acts, and of every other power in it in this behalf, the Council of the County of Eangitikei doth hereby make and ordain the Bylaws to be known as the Eangitikei County Council Amending By-laws, 1915.

The object and purport of the said By-laws are as follows ; —• (a) To amend the provisions of Part IV of the Council’s Principal By-laws regulating the width of tyres and in particular in respect of certain classes of vehicles to limit the weight of the load according to the width of the tyres. (b) To amend Part VI of the said Principal By-laws relating to heavy traffic and in particular to impose yearly license fees in respect of different classes of vehicles engaging in heavy traffic for the carriage of certain kinds of materials or goods, and to impose a yearly license fee of £25 on every motor vehicle or machine engaging in heavy traffic. (c) To amend Section 96, Part VIII, of the said Principal By-laws relating to motors. (d) To amend Part XII of the said Principal By-laws regulating traffic over the Bulls bridge. (e) Generally to make all other necessary ' consequential amendments to the said Principal By-laws and to bring into operation the provisions of the Amending By-laws. The said Eesolution and By-laws will be submitted for confirmation to a Special Meeting of the Council to be held at the County Council Chambers, Marton, on Saturday, the 18th day of December, 1915, at 3 p.m., at which meeting the day of the coming into operation of the By-laws will be fixed. A Ml copy of the said proposed Special Order and By-laws is deposited at the office of the said Council’ High Street, Marton, and such copy will remain open to public inspection during office hours and without fee from the present date until the said confirming'meeting is held.
