[To The Editor.] ■JlJfjir,—l have been informed by several of onr local boys at present and in the past on leave, that many members-of the next Expeditionary Force have been equipped with Messrs Young and Collins’ protector The value of this portion of their equipment has been most highly spoken of by those who should know. May I through your columns suggest that every man leaving the district be the recipient (if he so desires) of this small present as a token of our esteem. "With a view to assisting (to my mind a worthy object), I have much pleasure in tendering my cheque for £5 ss, to ■ be handed to the proper authorities, who I trust will at once take up the idea.—l am, eic., S.
