The High Commissioner reports that the enemy attempted unsuccessfully an attack against salients east and "south-west of Fort Givenchy.

In the valley of Souchez the enemy’s attempted progress was easily repulsed. In "the Champagne country a very violent bombardment at three points was everywhere visibly effective. A curtain of repression tire was made on German trenches and batteries.

In the Argonne a mine explosion destroyed a German post. A group of Allies’ aeroplanes bombed a German aviation park at Ounel between Argonne and the Mense.
