The Wheat Bill clauses, regarding the abolition of existing contracts is causing controversy and the Cabinet is considering the problem. Melbourne, Dec. 1. U The Water Commission ■ reports that the flo w of the river has ceased at Nyah and the drought threatens to be worse than in 1903. Brisbane, Dec. 1. The Speaker resumed the chair and an Opposition member moved a want of confidence motion, hut it was rejected by 85 to 26. Perth, Dec. 1. The Government Statisician esti mates that 891,000 ares, or onefourth of the wheat area sown will be a total failure.
Adelaide, Dec. 1. The Government has seized a farther hundred thousand bags of wheat.
