Deo. 26 and 28-Thames J.O. Jan. 1 and 3—Marten J.O. FEIEDING MEETING. SECOND DAY. Feilding Jockey Club was favoured with an excellent day yesterday for the conclusion of the Spring Meeting. Some fine finishes were witnessed, hut the going was rather slow on account of the recent heavy rains. The total amount put through the tote for the day was £18,787, making a total of £35 912 for the meeting, as against £35,551 last year, an increase of £361. Results: — York Stakes, 7 furlongs.—l Rewi Poto 1, 5 Mt. Victoria 2, 10 Goldstream B. Also ran: 7 Play Off, 3 Bertrada, 8 Peronilla, 11 Pursefiller, 4 Black Lupin, 9 Adroit, 6 Chillies, 3 Sunbird, 13 Matlow, 18 Te Hon Hou. Mt. Victoria led to the bend, closely followed by Pursefiller. The field then bunched, and the leader was cballenged by Rewi Poto, who eventually won by three-quar-ters of a length, with Coldstream a head away. Black Lupin and Chillies, the latter losing several lengths at the start, came next in order. Time, Imin 31 l-sseo. Nikau Hack Handicap, six furlongs.—7 Orleans 1, 5 Master Achilles 2, 3 Ramoanawhiri 3, Also ran: 3 Allan Doone, 4 Roumania, 10 New York, 9 Sir Alba, 1 Gold Sbult, 6 Quo Vadis, 13 Bodenhatn, 13 Madelinej 8 Fidessa, 11 Mystified. From a good start Orleans went to the front, and won by about threequarters of a length. Time, Imin 17 4-sseo.

Manchester Handicap, miles. — 1 Maniaroa 1, 3 Guiding Way 2,2 Peroneal 8. Also ran: 4 Passadeua, 5 Manawabaha, G Qen'eral Webb, 7 General Madero. Coming round the back General Webb came into prominence, but did not last. At the distance Maniaroa challenged the leader, and won easily by two lengths, with Peroneal the same distance behind Guiding Way. Time, 3m in 13,4-ssec.

Cheltenham Hurdles, 1% miles.—7 Leapubi 1, 3 Aruake 3, 2 Player 3. Also ran: 1 The Hover, 6 Timothy, 5 Flingot, 4 Glenorchy, 8 Makiri. From an excellent start Leapuki secured the lead, which he easily maintained throughout. Passing the stand for tiie first time the order was Leapubi, Glenorchy and The Rover, with the others well up. At the fence at the back the second time round Glenorchy fell. At the bend near home Aruake closed up, and a ding . dong go ensued for second place, Player being beaten by a head. Leapubi won by four lengths. Time, 3min 26sec. Rongotea Hack Hurdles, miles. —1 Sir Donald 1, 10 Stagnant 2, 5 Master Strowan 3. Also ran : 2 Aratiatia, 8 The Diver, 3 Okahu, 9 Waiwetu, 7 Rauparaha, 4 Roseblush, 6 Captain Macky, 11 Vigilant, 13 Lady Strowan. The good field ot twelve horses breasted the tapes, and passing the stand the first time Captain Macky had a slight lead. Ruaparaha fell at the hurdle in front of the stand. At the back of the course Sir Donald showed up, and coming through won by a length and a half from Stagnant and Master Strowan. Aratiatia was fourth and- Captain Macky fifth. Okahu was left standing at the post. Time, 3min 53 2-ssec.

Orona Stakes, six furlongs.—l Postillion 1, 3 Bold Stroke 2, 4 Astor B. ? Also ran: 3 Grattan. Bold Stroke led to the straight, but then gave way to the favourite, who won by a couple of lengths. Time, Imin 17 l-osec.

Maiden Hack Scurry, furlongs. —3 Ladogeur 1, 3 Ararat 3, 7 Hushabye 3. The first and second horses were bracketed. Also ran: 4 Royal Mary, IB Atuhine, 9 Happy Jack, 1 Kahumangn, 10 Combustion, 6 Mary Kilcberan, 16 Kylasma, 14 Gold Rush, 18 Hazelton, 23 Friction, 12 King’s Boy, 11 Vladian, 14 Sir Fisher, 21 Cokeley, 17 Canada’s Colours, 5 Jeanne Laddo, 3 Formaltier, 19 Namur, 15 Chaban, 11 Master Moutoa, 30 Miss Gun, 8 La Motte, ,14 Toptwigg, and 15 White Plume. The twenty-seven horsea entered went to'the post, Kahumangn being made a hot favourite. Roval Mary led a well bunched field at the start, but in a great run down the straight Ladogeur caught the judge’s eye first by nearly a length -4Tom Ararat, who was closely followed by Hushabye. Time, Imm Usee. Railway Welter, one mile and a distance.—3 Princess Moutoa 1, 4 Yictoris 3, 3 Gazette 3. Also ran v 1 Birkful, 5 Alces, and 6 Elevate. Yictoris led, but was.overhauled by Alces. Yictoris came again, but Princess; Moutoa was too fast for her, finishing a length and a half to thegood. MARTON SUMMER MEETING.
