The above Company paid out for the mouth of Octboer the sum of £3103 11s 6d for bntter-t'at supplied, at the rate of Isgper lb. The amount paid out for the corresponding month last year was £2228 5s 3d. The Company is also paying Is per lb for butter-fat supplied during November month. The largest suppliers received £lB5, £lls, and £lO5 respectively for tne month, Notwithstanding the very dry weather some suppliers have done remarkably well, one herd at Ohakea and another at the factory averaging over two pounds per cow for October. The total number of suppliers at present is 103. The daily make of butter at the factory is 50 boxes and the (Government grade 93>£ points. Herd testing returns show a little improvement on those of September, the three best cows gave 76,87, 60.4, and 58.74, and the three worst gave 11.65, 13.15 and 18.14 respectively. The average Association cow produced 28.41bs of butter-fat.
