At the Supreme Court Ernest Henry Mackay, convicted of firing a revolver at his father-in-law with intent to intimidate him, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment

Wm. Ballard, Jones Ballard and Albert Watson, three seamen on the steamer Oorinthic, were charged with the theft of £101) in gold, the property of a passenger between Capetown and Hobart, and were sentenced to four months’ imprisonment in addition to two months already spent in gaol.
