An exceptional heat wave is spreading over the United States, and records have been broken in Chicago, Oklahoma and Missouri the temperature exceeding one hundred. Many prostrations are recorded.

Since the heat wave started it has been the cause of 21 deaths in Chicago, and 12 infants have dhaed at Cleveland from * the effects of heat. The humidity is now decreasing and relief has been experienced
