PANAMA CANAL.

Secretary Garrison has formally’ announced that the Panama Canal will be opened to vessels of 30 feet draught on August 15th. There will be no ceremony until the official opening. Washington, July 24. New Zealand and Australia have jointly taken the title f.or a site for the Commonwealth Pavilion at the Panama Exhibition.
