Prom Our Own Correspondent The Pukeroa Bachelors Annual Bail held in Drysdale woolshed last fir id ay evening was one of the most successful social functions ever held in this district. The night was an ideal one and the guests who literally flocked from as far as twenty miles thoroughly enjoyed themselves. The woolshed was most tastefully decorated with native foliage and the floor was in excellent order. The music provided by Mesdames Hammond, Spearman, Suckling, Misses Agnew and Campbell (piano),Mr Popperwell (violin), and Messrs Newland and Pringle (accordeon), was much appreciated, while the supper arrangements were all that could be desired. Mr Phil Greene sang a capital song, which met with much applause. Dancing was kept up until 4a. in., when the gathering dispersed atijer giving three hearty cheers for the promoteis. To Messrs Ghas. Reynolds, the indefatigable secretary, and Alex Pringle, the efficient M. 0., much’ praise is due, for the success of the evening.
