MARRIAGE AT GREATFORD.

STANTIALL—CHILD. On Tuesday afternoon at St. Martin’s Church, Greatford, Allan, fifth son of the late Mr O, Stantiall, was united in holy matrimony to Emily Eliza, third daughter of the late Mr O, N. Child, of Bushgrove, Clarence River, New South Wales. The officiating minister was the Rev. Mr Blackburn, The bride was given away by Mr Abraham Frazer, and the wedding march was played by Mrs A. H. Bill, the church being nicely decorated for the event. The bride was attired in a very dainty dress of creme aoolienne, with pearl and soft lace trimmings, and wore the usual wreath and veil. The bridesmaid, Miss M. Stantiall, wore a very becoming dress of champagne colour poplin, with silk gimp and oriental . embroidery and hat to match. Both bride and bridesmaid carried bouquets of choice spring flowers. Mr O. Stantiall acted as best man. The bridegroom’s present to the bride was a pearl spray brooch, and to the bridesmaid a gold bamboo bangle. After the ceremony the wedding party and friends adjourned to the Greatford Young Men’s Club for the wedding breakfast. During the breakfast the health of the bride and bridegroom was proposed by Mr W. Lewis, and the bridegroom suitably replied. Mr Reid proposed the health of the bridesmaid, and Mr V. Wilson responded on her behalf Mr A Frazer in a speech commented on the popularity of the bridegroom with the residents of the district, and expressed on their behalf the wish that he should long reside amongst them The happy couple motored to Palmerston, and from there went by train to Napier, where they will spend a few days before, returning to take up their residence in Greatf°Mr and Mrs Stantiall were the recipients of many useful and handsome presents.
