Plans are now being prepared for the building to be erected for Marton Cosmopolitan. Club. The building will be two-storey, aud of similar, design to that just completed for Messrs Davenport Bros. It will occupy the space between tte Bank of New Zealand and the corner building. The rooms' on the upper storey will- be occupied by the Cosmopolitan Club Tio Fire Brigade Dance in Marton Opera House, last night, was very successful in every respect. The floor was in good order and the stage was prettily decorated with green foliage. The .delicious supper was "much appreciated by the large attendance A noticeable feature was the large attendance of firemen, neaaJpflvery one being present. The music was supplied by Orozier's Orchestra and extras were played by Mis Adam, and Messrs G. Bevan. S J, Gibbons and Alex Blair. The secretarial duties were capably carried out by Mr Tj Mclndoe.
