SHOT DEAD.

Ernest Austin, cabled on June 19th, lias been found guilty of the death at Hobart of a young . man. Alfred Briton had reported to the police that while he and another young man Charles Jones, were nunting on Mount Faulkner on Wednesday Jones accidentally shot himself. Briton has now confessed that he shot Jones. He stated that after hunting all the morning they, made another start in the afternoon, and a dispute arose about whose was a double barrelled gun. Jones clicked the humour of the gun at Briton, and the latter pointed his gun and pulled the trigger and Jones fell dead. Briton declares that he did riot know it was 5 " loaded;
