Socialistic trade unions at Loohejuen, near Halle, organised a fete inoluding the entertainment of children The rector of the school prohibited the.children from attending. Those disobeying were ordered next day singly to the xector's room and soundly caned. The parents assembled and thrashed the rector, the police rescuing him and escorting him to his residence with drawn swcrds.
