STOCK REPORTS. Messrs Abraham and Williams report:—At Marton on Tuesday we had a verv ehavy yarding of sheep, composed' chiefly of hoggets, every pen selling under the hammer at prices well In favour of vendors. Sheep: Mixed hoggets 15s 3d to 15s Bd, medium do. 13s 6d to 14s, cull do. 9s 3d to 11s, best wether hoggets 16s (3d to 17s medium do. 14s lid to 15s lid, best ewe hoggets 16s 7d, to 16s lOd, others 14s lOd to 16s Id, A straight line of 1000 ewe hoggets realised 16s 4d to'l6g 6d, a small iine of woolly ewe hoggets 18s 9d, s.m. ewes in lamb 18s 9d, aged do 14s 9d, empty ewes 14s 6d, tat ewes 19s 7d to 30s, fat wethers 28s. Cattle : Springing heifers £4 10s to £7, springing cows £5 7s 6d to £lO 12s, cows in calf £5 10s, 18-months steers £4 12s 6d, yearling heifers £2 10s, yearling steers £2 14s. At Mangaweka on Wednesday we had ia fair yarding of sheep and cattle. Sheep were in good demand and cattle sold at late rates. We quote:—Ewe hoggets 16s lid, mixed do. small 9s, empty ewes 14a, empty heifers £3 8s 6d to £3 13s, empty cows £3 13s 6d, springing heifers £6 17s, backward do. £3 7s 6d to £4, mixed weaners £2. At our Johnsonville sale a good entry of bullocks and sheep came forward and sold readily, bullocks being keenly competed for. Prime heavy bullocks £ls 2s Od to £ls 7s 6d, prime bullocks £l3 5s 6d to £l3 7s 6d, lighter £ll 10s to £ll Is 6d, light £lO 17s 6d, prime heavy wethers 27s 9d to 30s, prime wethers 27s 6d, lighter 25s to 265, light ewes £1 0s 2d, prime ewes 23s 6d. Freeman R. Jackson and Co. report on Wanganui sale on Wednesday There were large yardings of sheep and cattle and a good yarding of pigs. The yarding of sheep consisted chiefly of hoggets, and good prices were realised. Pigs: Porkers 81s to 555, stores 7s 6d to 28s, choppers £2 4s, Sheep: Mixed hoggets 14s Id to 17s 6d, ewe hoggets 16s sd, wether hoggets 16s Id, good ewes £1 0s 6d, cull ewes and lambs 12s, fat sheep 22s to 29s 6d, four fat ewes 255, fat wethers 15s to 30a, ewes with lambs at foot 12s 3d. Cattle: Cows fat £6 7s 6d to £8 ss, bullocks £7 10s, store cows £3 6s, 18-months heifers £3 4s, do. steers £3 9s 6d, 2year steers £4 14s, 30-months steers £3 14s to £5.
