OVERSEAS CLUB.

-! l SlK,—The four gross of mugs which the local branch of Overseas v-| Club ordered from England some *' i months ago have come to hand ; they | are decorated with crossed flags of ! the Olnb, consisting of the Union j Jack with the Clnb's monogram ! (0.5.) in the centre, and the words { "Empire Day, 1913, Marton." The ! Committee has decided to distribute : '• them among the children of the ' I , Primer Classes and the Ist Standard '' of the different schools in the diaI trict, and Mr Meanley, our ener- '- getic secretary, is at present busy j distributing and despatching them. ! The head teachers before presenting gp the mugs give an appropriate address II to the children, who appear to be Srti; highly pleased with their unexpected if and useful gift.
