Speaking at a meeting at Bromley,. Kent, yesterday. Miss Sylvia PankJhnrst advised the militants to master the art of jn-jitsn. The police understood it, and therefore women should also learn it.
Women also needed drilling* and any man who had had an army training should he able to give them the necessary instruction, while both men and women should go to meetings arm ad with sticks. The suffragettes perpetrated another act of incendiarism yesterday, when they set tire to a timber yard at Bedford. A sheet of - notepaper was found, on which was written, “Our beloved leader is taking a holiday. This is a message to the men of Bedford.”
