SKATING.
PLAIN AND FANCY DRESS CARNIVAL As a grand finale to the skating season the Marton Skating Rink will be the scene of a plain and fancy dress carnival on Friday, September sth. Prizes will be awarded for the best fancy dresses for lady and gentleman, and also to the most graceful lady and gent skater. Trophies will be given for novelty competitions. All those wishing to take uart in the Grand March should avail themselves of a practice next Tuesday evening, as it will be the last night available before the carnival. The Marton Junction Band will render a first-class programme of music. _ . The Rink will not be open on inday night, the 29th inst., on account of the Marton Fire Brigade Bali
