DOLOROUS DUNEDIN.

Per Press Association. Dunedin, July 9. Fully 100 unskilled labourers are unemployed in Dunedin at present, ,and their ranks are being swelled by new arrivals from the Old Country. Forty painters were idle last week, but the Union Company absorbed 30 this week. Carpenters and joiners are having a dull time, between 40 and 50 are looking for work. These include some unemployed for the first time for 15 years. It has been found necessary to warn tradesmen against proceeding to Auckland as there is a Burplus of carpenters there.
