THE SACKVILLE WILL CASE.

Smith, K.C„, counsel for Mr Malcolm Scott, addressed the Court for nine hours. He read a letter wherein Lady Sackville called' Sir John “dear old Seery, ” and he called her “dear old Jose.’’ She bitterly upbraided him £for breaking his promise and altering his will after twelvejyears’ friendship. Sir John replied that he promised her nothing but treated her not 'illiberally. Mr Smith mentioned that Sir John’s gifts to her totalled £84,000 in ten years.
