STAKES RAISED. •Jk The Canterbury Jockey Club decided to increase the stakes for the Grand National Meeting by £9BO, making a total of £7790. The scale of penalties for the Grand National Steeplechase, Hurdles, and Winter Cup was revised. No alteration was made in the conditions of the New Zealand Cup.
