The Chief Postmaster, Wanganffi, wrote, enclosing W. Littlejohn’s account for £5 4s, and intimating that from; the Ist April the Bulls Town Board would be required to pay the cost of winding, lighting and maintaining the Bulls Post Office clock.—lt was resolved (W. Homes--G. H. Hathaway) that the olerk write to the secretary of the General Post Office pointing out the fact that at the time the post office clock went J|out of order the Board had no control over it, and, therefore, object to pay Messrs Littlejohn’s account, and further to inquire what is the Town Board s position in the event of the present clock.being destroyed bv fire. The Works Committee was authorised to have 50 yards of asphalt mixed Tor patching footpaths. The Chairman reported that the skates at Town Hall bad been sold for £l2 12s. . Mr Homes reported that in conjunction with Mr a horse had been purchased for the Board s use, which he considered would be found suitable. The Chairman and Mr Broughton were appointed Works Committee for ensuing month. _ At next meeting of the Board a general rate of Is 8d in the £ will be levied on all rateable property within the Town District.
