An enthusiastic meeting of ratepayers of Bulls was recently held in the Town Hall, when there were about 50 ratepayers present. Mr G. Laing-Meason also attended, and replied to a number of questions. The reports of the engineers upon the different schemes have already appeared in these columns. After the schemes had been fully discussed, a resolution was passed to the effect that the supply and quality of water at the Recreation Ground be tested, and the result reported to a meeting of ratepayers, to be convened as soon as the information is available. Mr E. O. Gaisford has offered the free use of his . engine for testing purposes, and will he advised when the engine is likely to be required. At the last meeting of the Bulls Town Board a hearty vote of thanks was accorded Mr E. O. Gaisford for his generous offer. Messrs Homes, Walker and Hinkley were appointed a committee by the Boaid to see that the work of testing was carried out at the Recreation Grounds.
