In the House of Comomns, Mr Lewis’s amendment not to allow the Irish Parliament to give bounties was defeated by 325 to 214. Clause 15 was carried, 70 amendments not being discussed. Two hours were spent in divisions, leaving an hour for the discussion of Clauses 16 to 31. Received November 28, 10 a.m. London, November 27.

Through guillotine action on clauses 15 to 31, out of 199 lines only 10 were discussed. Six amendments were discussed and 137 not discussed.
