On a motion for the adjournment Mr Kelleway drew attention to the case of Mr Arnold, editor of a Burmah paper, who is undergoing 13 months’ imprisonment for libel. A Ministerial reply was made that Mr Arnold had appealed to the Privy Council, and his case was being expedited. If the appeal was allowed, Mr Arnold would be liberated until the case was heard.
