Hugh Grundherr, cabled on August 3rd, charged with obtaining antiques by fraud, has been discharged, the Magistrate declaring that credit was not obtained by any of the pretences alleged. ; Received November 6, 1 p.m. . * London, November 5. It is officially . announced that Major-General Sir Harry Barron, Governor of Tasmania, has been appointed Governor of West Australia. Messrs J. and N. Tait have arranged with Madame Clara Butt and her husband and John , McCormack to visit'Australia nest year, and for Harry Lauder in 1914.
