The Herald declares that if the Imperial Conference at Vancouver is held it will be one of the most important meetings since the Dpmin-ions-were called into council' with the Imperial Government. In regard to the defence of the Empire, < some definite scheme for the future must be evolved and the proposed conference should do much to mate this possible. /
