Acland, a Liberal member of the House of Commons, addressing the United Kingdom Alliance, referred to the Premier’s pledge to introduce a licensing measure. He said if the militancy of the suffragettes ceased the Reform Bill would enfranchise women, aud thus be greatly to the advantage of temperance reform.
