STOCK SALES. Loan & Mercantile report: —At Fell (lint; on Friday we had- a small entry ot sheep ami a (.rood yard mg of cattle, which sold at late rates as follows: —Ewes with lambs at foot 18s Id, yearling steers discoloured 80s, pthers to £2 10s, yearling heifers £2 IBs (Id, better do. £3 to £3 10s, hulls 80s to £3 15s. On Wednesday we held a clearing sale on behalf of Mr Adam Waugh, Kimboltom There was a large attendance of buvers and. all lines sold well. We quote;—Mixed age ewes with lambs 32s to 26s (id, good mixed In'ggets 15s 3d, medium mixed hoggets 1-is, small hoggets 7s lid, two tooth wethers 15s lid, dfat wethers 235, dairy cows £1) lbs to £l3 lis (id, p.h. Jersey heifers £9 5s to £l3 10s, springing heifers £(i to £9 10s, backward heifers £4 2s Gd to £5 yearling heifers £3 3s, mixed yearlings small £2 Is, empty heifers £4 to £4 ss. At Palmerston on Thursday we had a good entry of sheep and cattle -i and effected practically a total clearance at late rates. Sheep, inferior hoggets 12s 7d, ewe hoggets medium 14s, wether hoggets 14s, cull ewes 5s (id, store ewes 12s 7d, mixed ewes and wethers 15s lOd to 19s Id, pull ewes 5s Gd,lnstore ewes 12s 7d, mixed ewes and wethers 15s lOd to 19s ( Id, ewes and lambs IGs to 17s 3d. Cattle, yearling heifers £3, 13s Gd to £3 Is, yearling heifers good £3 12s to £3 6s Od, two year heifers £3 5s to £3 9s (id, store cows £8 Os to £3 ss, forward cows £3 7s to £4 13s Gd, yearling steers £3 Is Gd, cows with calves at foot £4 10s, heifers just calved £6 10s to £7, springing heifers £0 2s Gd, heifers in calf £4 12s Gd, store bullocks £7 4s Gd, fat bullocks £9 15s to £lO 2s Gd.
