MR SCOTT LESLIE. A very -attractive entertainment is provided for next Thursday evening in Marton Town Hall, when Mr Scott Leslie, supported by Mr Oliver Farrow and the Misses Gwenyth and Daisy Evans will appear. Mr Scott Leslie is an artist of considerable merit as his record proves. Real monologuists are a rare commodity. It is said of Mr Scott Leslie that his excellent character studies, racy stories, fine elocutionary eiforts and interesting monologues place him in the first rank of society entertainers. Mr Lesile is a confirmed traveller. His calling has taken him into every civilised country of the world. Blended with the eulogies of the British, American and Continental Jpress are those of Africa and Asia. The Times of India says he is marvellously versatile and equally good in sketching the pathetic or humorous. The Times of London says Mr Scott Leslie is an exceptionally clever entertainer. All the notices are in complimentary vein, from which it may be concluded that Mr Scott Leslie is well worth hearing. Artistic support will be lent by Mr Oliver Farrow, a baritone who enjoys an enviable reputation as a finished singer; Miss T. LYCEUM PICTURES. TO-NIGHT. The following excellent programme will be screened to night at the Opera-House, Marton; —“Pathe Gazette,” topical; “Through the Window,” dramatic; “The Czar’s Gardens,” scenic. This -is a really beautiful picture, with its playing fountains of water, and statues, etc., and is both interesting and educational. “Is He Eligible?” comedy; “Artist Max,” comic; “Wondersof the Sea,” educational. The latter is another fine picture of marine life, and shows some rare specimens of fishes and their habits. ‘ ‘ Benoit ’ s Fortune, ’ ’ comedy; “Kind-Hearted Dupin, ” comic; “Tragic Life of Mona Lisa,” coloured drama. This|is founded on the theft of the famous picture from the Paris Louvre Gallery, and is brimful of excitement and interest from start to finish.
