A shop and a six-roomed house at Takapnna, owned by the estate of E. Haaron and occupied by Sfmonds were destroyed by fire at 1 a.m., The family escaped in their night attire. Insurances: Hoaae, £3lO in Sonth British; furniture, £175 in Victoria.
