MANAGEMENT COMMITTEE.

The half-yearly meeting of the Management Committee was held at the Methodist Schoolroom, Marton, on Tuesday. The meeting commenced at 10 am. Present; Prov. G M Bro. J. Nix. Apiti; D.Q.M. Bro J. W. Olevely, Bnnnjthorpe; Bros,' T. Bamber and E. Liddle, Wanganui; H. Sharmaa and S, J. Watson, Manawatu; O. Aitken, Manchester; E, MoGonnell, Mangaweka.

The Prov. O. S. read the district balance-sheet, showing the position of the foods. In referring to the economical working of the district, JBro. Sslek mentioned tha fact that the- did not owe a single penny, uelhtsr did any Ledge ow,e the district anything,. Eros. Salglt and Basnber gave a detailed report upon the business transacted-at the B MO. Meeting at 'Christchurch last Easter, and ware accorded a hearty vote of thanks for their able report, upon the motion of Eros Watson and Llddle,

The valuation report epou the Lodges in tbeWanganui district, as at end of 1910, showed a really splendid result of tljo five years’ working. Whereas at the end of 1905 only the Loyal Wanganai Lodge had a surplus, the 1910 period shows' that five lodges have surpluses, The Lodges showing sucjploroa are as follows:—Wanganui £1693, Mans-wat-il £lB4, Aplti £2OB, A warns £39, Bunny t-horpe £B3; total surplus £3305, The other Lodges also show a considerable improvement in their financial position,. The Book Examiner's report upon the various Lodges in the district was then considered.
