I am getting into fpsl good form, and have only abont 91d to cfke off, and st;ll six weeks to go, so I ought to bo fit. I have worked hf;id since arriving in England, and have. had beantifrd weather, and it was no trouble to get weight off. There is very little betting on the race, bnt in what there Is I am favourite. I did a satisfactory trial a week ago over a mile and Qthree-qnaitsra, audg when properly wonnd np, should have a real good chance. The climate salts me all right, and I like the river, although there is a-lairly strong onrrent, and it id a bit ohopwy at times I intend returning home throagh America, so will call at Auckland. I am at present trying to get a match with Daman on my way throagh, and hops to be successful.”
