Associations, asking their views on the matter. Several societies proposal, but it was not unanimously accepted. One or two prominent associations thought it would be inadvisable to form a Royal Society at the present time on account of the geographical conditions of the dominion. Hawke’s Bay Association, with the information before them, did not support the proposal, hut thought further steps should be taken to form a Union of all agricultural societies, to be governed by a council elected by delegates from these . societies, and that asst Wellington conference ba asked to frame a constitution, and that In the meantime the various A. and P. , Associations should bo asked to send suggestions. Mr Hall asked this society to forward au opinion. The President thought the matter should be looked at, not from a geographical but from a Dominion point of view. He thought the Association should favour the proposal. Mr F Y. Lethbridge thought that if the suggestion were acted on it would be a forerunner for a Royal Show.

Mr Booth thought Shows should amalgamate and have a governing body Mr Barrell thought a committee shonld be set np. and report later, and Mr A. Campbell was also in favour of tbla. The President, Messrs Booth, Campbell, Knight and Barrell were anpoinfced a committee to consider the matter and report at next meeting, OTHER BUSINESS. The matter of green feed for next Show was discussed, Mr Knight offered an acre of lucerne, which was accepted with thanks. Mr G.
