POHONUI NOTES.

From Our Own Correspondent A most enjoyable function took place last Thursday evening when Mr and Mrs F; k. Howie entertained over sixty friends at a dance in the Fapanni Hail. Vocal items interspersed the dancings Mrs Howie’s “Queen of Angels” and Mr Q. W. Revell’s “Rocked in the Cradle of the Deep” meeting with much appreciation. Messrs Eggers and Fisher also contributed songs which were well received. Very refreshments were banned round at intervals, and the ball was kept rolling merrily'until daylight when the guests departed after expressing their high appreciation of fcbelr entertainers’ kindness and hospitality.
