THE CHINESE REVOLUTION.

Tha Minister for War, General Ishiuioto, in replying to a question in the Diet, etated that arms to the value cf £300.000 had been sold to Chinese revolutionaries daring the present disturbances. Received Fsbrnary 23, 1 p.m. Brisbane, Febraary 38. Ohineae supporters of the Republic and Manobus had a pitched battle at Atherfcon. Stones, bottles and other missiles were used, and several were injured ou each side. Tha police interfered. Reinforcements for the Republicans left Cairns for Atherton some previously purchasing revolvers and ammunition. The police are taking stops fto preserve peace.
