RANGIWAHIA HORTICULTURAL & INDUSTRIAL ASSOCIATION.

SECOND SiiuW. Patron, Mr D H. Guthrie, M.P r President, Mr E. W. Pembertcr- 1 Vice Presidents, Messrs J- v«' Tompkins, B. R. Beckett. J J. tar-yce, D. S McGregor. J. Watt; Treasurer, Mr J. W. Tompkins; Committee, Messrs J Carey, A. Caird, A. Arnott, F C. Campbell, J. Klnkaed, J Lukashefski, S. Meads F. Thompson, G Kreager, A. Grant; Secretary, Mr R. O. Cameron. Heavy rain Thursday morning resulted in a rather poor attendance at the Show, and the lateness of the season was responsible for fewer entries in many classes. However, the show was a good one,—-and some tine quality farm prod nets, fruit and vegetables were shown. Mr Gao. Bryan secured the points prize in vegetables. This is the seventh year he has carried off honours. Mies O’Reilly was also a prominent exhi-bitor-sweeping the board in the industrial and amateur photographic classes. This lady exhibited some fine specimens of pnnti taglato work, and although nos classified was awarded a special prize, and also won a special for monogram. A model of a foil rigged fens masted barque (for exhibition only) the work of Mr J. Larsen attracted a lot of attention. The outside competitions (horse events) were well contested bnt entries in stock were small. The most sought after man was Mr A, Grant, who in addition to judging the babies (and escaping nnbnrt) delighted all the youngsters and many of the adnlts with rides in a due new motor car, which he received the day before. Ned Kelly and bis rider received an ovation on winning the Open Hunters’ competition. Daring the afternoon a string band enlivened the proceedings, Many were inclined to think the committee bad made a mistake in keeping the industrial and horticultural section open in the afternoon only. There was no complaint in regard to other arrangements, the committee polled together well, and the secretary, Mr R. O Uameron, may be congratulated on bis admirable work. Results OUT FLOWERS.
