TKe Agricultural Department is actively prosecuting the campaign against noxious weeds. Nine settlers for failing to destroy ragwort on their properties were each fined sums ranging from 10s So £3 by Mr Byre Kenny, the Bench warning them that a second appearance means a severe penalty.^
