THE EVERETT AVALANCHE.

United Press Association— By Sleotrio Telegraph—Copyright. New York, March 3. Sixty perished in the avalanche reported from Everett. Received March 4, 9 a.ra. New York, March 3. The Everett expresses were snowbound for seven days. The avalanche hnrled them 200 feet and buried them at the bottom of the Canyon. The avalanche which was a mile long davasted a portion of the town ot Wellington and the telegraph lines were destroyed for fifteen miles round. The escaped passenger brought the first news to Snohomish, Several of the passengers were saved by sheltering in the hotel, instead of remaining in the train. Nnrses and doctors sent by train from Everett were unable to get within fifteen miles'of Wellington, which is covered deep with snow.
