The Departmental Board of Inquiry into the Braybrook accident, which occurred with considerable loss of life on April 30th last, found that Engine driver Milburn was guilty on each of five charges. Driver Doman, Firemen Tomlinson and Debeny and Guard D’Aroy were found not guilty. Stationmaater Kendall was found guilty with a recommendation to mercy.

Milburn and Kendall were dismissed the service, with right of appeal. The others will be reinstated.
