STOCK REPORT. , Messrs Abraham & Williams report on sale: —We had a medium yarding of sheep, but a smalLone of oattle. There was a large attendance, but owing to the oontinned dry weather, all stock was dull of sale. We quote : -Medium lambs 7s, cull do. 8s 7d to 4s Id, cull ewes 2s 6d, iS-montbs steers £3 9s 6d, 18months empty heifers 85s, store cows 265. Messrs Dalgety aniji Co;, Ltd., report:—At Wanganui, on 24th inst., we yarded 1100 sheep and 170 oatcle. There waa.good attendance, A better tonev-Jrevailed, competition being briskV and we made nearly a total clearance mostly /under the hammer. At Waverley, on 26th inst., we yarded 1500 sheep and 80 oattle. The attendance was exceptionally good. The bulk of the sheep consisted of good sorts of ewes for which there was a keen demand, prices showing .improvement. Competition was lively right through, the bulk of the yarding going, under the hammer. Ltd., report heavy entries in all departments with large attendance, and good values We sold on Wednesday by order of the D.O.A. a house and one acre at Makiuo at the price of £270. ’WELLINGTON WOOL, SKIN AND . HIDE SALES. The New Zealand Loan & Mercantile Agency 00., Ltd,, report as follows:—The usual fortnightly sales were held on Fraiday, when fairsized catalogues- were submitted to a good attendance of buyers. Bidding waa brisk for wool and sound skins and hides, but faulty, lots wero rather neglected. We offered 50 bales and a number of bags of wool and disposed of. nearly all at prices a shade over last sales rates. Hides are lower by to %d per lb. We quote : Wool: Coarse crossbred sJ£d to 6d, lambs inferior 5d to orntchings, lambs to 4d, locks and pieces l>£d to 2%d.
