The Times thus reports the jnatch Rangitikei v. Manawatu, for the Handicap Gup Rangitikei (scratch). ~G. Wilson, Dairymple, W. F. G. Levin, R. A* Wilson. ‘ , Manawatu (4 goals concession)—G. Gifford Moore, W. B. Giesen, J. W. Strang, R. L. Levin. This-was not so good a game as the first, but was earnest and fast. Two spells happened with a blank board. In the next R. Wilson, who can ride, And plays with cnrions unevenness —sometimes with a good eye and sometimes not so good—scored for ■the Rangitikeis. Then Wilson and Dalrymple in friendly juxtaposition helped things along the green sod, and the score stood, Rangitikei 3, H. Wilson then made the Rangitikei, score 3, and Dalrymple, the daring, notched another without effort. Dalrymple was admirable. This made the Rangitikeis 4 —6ven on the handicap. Shortly afterwards Moore came to light for Manawatu, and a roar from the motor cars proclaimed the fact that Manawatu bad scored its first goal. This (counting the concession) made Manawatu 5, Rangitikei 4. Then Hamish Wilson cut in and scored, making it 5 all. He also scored the next two goals, and the score stood Rangitikei 7, Manawatu 5. But Strang later notched a couple and the score stood Rangitikei 7, Manawatu 7. Moore and Giesen snatched one each for the finish, and thus a very good game ended 4 Manawatu 9, Rangitikei 7.
