Pohutu was in front after tho field had i?one four furlongs, where Downfall was second. Entering tho straight Pohutu fell and badly ,;;terfered with Downfall, who was knocked back to last. Tho mishap left Dnnborvc in the lead and he svas never afterwards headed. Downfall jumped up with a surprising run and gained second place.
