OHAKEA SCHOOL CONCERT.

In the Town Hall at Sanson last night was given a very pleasing concert. The performers were chiefly = pupils of the school, and the manner in which the several items wore given was most creditable, both to tho performers and the teachers, Mr Gabitcs, Miss Bailey, and helpers. Thero was a large and appreciative audience. The introductory remaiis were given by Miss Henderson, who also gave a;|rccjtation. A piano duet was well rendered by Loouo and Nora Bailey. Tho Highland fling, danced in costume by Horace MeNab and Horace Henderson, was encored, as was also "Tho Truant," played with spirit bv Rov Richardson. Tho gavotte danced'by six girls, throo dark and three fair, tho former wearing scarlet and the latter white gowns, had a pretty effect, but the stage was raihor small for the best result to be obtainable. .'Die Teasing (action) 'Song and (io :'. ; Ta-ra-ra Band" were both popular items, and were repeated. The dancers of a Highland reel, Nora Bailuy, Leone Bailey, and Irene Henderson, were recalled, the neat performance pleasing the audience. The girls were nicely dressed for their action songs, an 1 boys in sevoral characters, many very amusing. Miss Bessie Bailey played the- accompaniments. At the closing of tho coucert' the "Chairman of Committee, Mr' Thomas Masters, thanked the audience for their attendance.
