Mr Caldwell deposed at Marylebono Court, in terms of the cablegram ot the 26th nit. about the mock funeral of Druce. Ho said that he had received £IO,OOO from the late duke. In cross-examination ho admitted asking 10,000 dollars from the New yorfe Herald for the disclosure of particulars in the Judge Hilton and Stewart will case scandal, but domed blackmailing the Hilton and Stewart families.
