In tho Council, which met at 2.30 p.m., tho Scaffolding Inspection xket Amendment Bill was put through all stages and the Land Laws Amendment Bill was taken in Committee. An amendment to reduce the term of renewable lease from GG to 50 years was defeated by 20 votes to 7, and the Council adjourned at 5 till 7.30 p.m. In the House the Railway Classification Bill introduced by Governor’s message was read a first time, aud the Agricultural Labourers Accommodation Bill was read a third time and passed. The House adjourned at 5.30 p.m.
