WRECK OF THE SURPRISE.
Per Press Association. Auckland, July 26. A Tairua message states that the steamer Onslow visited the scene of the wreck of the scow Surprise again yesterday. Constable Brow n and party search ed the beach.es but could find no bodies. They secured a flag, somo broken lifebuoys and tire name board of a steamer, called at Ohui and brought Harry Jackson, solo survivor, to Tairua. He is still weak. As showing the fury of tho storm dozens of crayfish and dead fish were
thrown up on the beach, also tons of seaweed. Tho ship’s dog was found lying on tho Pawaiiui beach.
