CORRESPONDENCE. From G-. C. Wheeler, reporting that he had met Mr McKenzie re the Quibell Cup, and the latter stated his firm preferred the prize to go to the best Romney ram on the ground. Mr Wheeler informed' him'that f ho ; Society would’carry out his wishes, and thanked him for the generous donation, prom Egmont A. and P. Association, stating that their committee passed a resolution “That Societies he written to and asked to allow Conference to fix dates of shows in rotation between Palmerston and Auckland. It was pointed ont that an exhibitor could travel if he so desired through to Auckland, taking in Waqganui, Egmont and New Plymouth Shows en route with reasonable time, but no long delay at one place.—A reply has been sent that the dates for this year have been fixed. Mr Johnston stated that he did not think it advisable to coma to any arrangements re dates until the Main Trunk line is completed. From Minister of Railways, stating that owing to the large expenditure the desired alteration to sheep trucks cannot at present be given effect to. From W. B. Allen, complaining of the railway arrangements for conveying stock to and from the Show, and particularly of the delay. Mr Johnston said that this was not the only arrangement that was bad. There were several complaints in connection with, railway . facilities for the Spring Show that required attention. He then moved that the matter of arrangements for stock and passengers be considered by Finance Committee, and that proper representation be made to the Minister of Railways; also that copies of complaints be sent in, and that Mr Allan's complaint be brought up by the Association’s delegate at the Conference.—Carried.

From Itoyal Agricultural Show, Sydney, stating that the Committee regretted the occurrence regarding the non-pay-ment of Mr Luxford’s expenses as judge', but it has been the rule for years that no judge’s expenses be paid. This year the Committee established a system by which the actual amount to be paid the judge was stated in his invitation. - : From tjie Chairman of the Dairy Association, thanking Manawatu Association for the excellent arrangements provided for dairymen at the Winter Show. A similar letter was received froin the Cheesemakers’ Association. ’ MISCELLANEOUS. Accounts amounting to £llß6 12s 2d were passed for payment. The report of the National Dairy Show Committee, which showed a satisfactory state of affairs, was received and adopted. A hearty vote of thanks was passed to the retiring chairman. Major Dunk, and his committee for their successful efforts. Major Dunk, in reply, said that it would be necessary in order to .successfully carry on the Winter Show to increase the accommodation, and the matter would have to be taken in hand as soon as possible. , The following’ committee were elected for ensuing year : —Major Dunk (chairman), J.
