The High .Commissioner has sent the following cablegram dated London, July 13th : _ Mutton is firm and in good demand ; prime quality Canterbury brands North.'Maud 3%d. Lamb is in steady demand, chiefly for light weight; Canterbury B%d, other brands sd. Beef is steady; hinds 3%d, fores S^d. The butter market is lifeless except for very best quality. Choicest New Zealand 995, Danish 109 s. _ There is no change in cheese since last week . . t . The hemp {market is quiet but firm at unchanged rates. The cocksfoot seed market is firm. Better demand is experienced and prices are rising. Bright clean hew Z ©aland seed, 1 Tibs to the bushel, on spot. BBs per cwt.
